More Than Just Farm Equipment

Founding the Museum
In 2010, Bobby & Cheryl Blackstock had a vision for tourism in Gordon County. Since they always enjoyed traveling whenever possible they understood the concept that tourism always has a positive impact on the community. When Bobby's parents passed away in 2012, he received a variety of old tools from the estate. After a lot of preparation and fundraising a 40x80 foot building was built in 2016. A restroom was added in 2021 and the facility was opened in January of 2022. The museum showcases items from 1900-2000 and there is something for everyone to enjoy seeing. The museum greatly benefits motor coach tour groups, church groups, special needs facilities such as adult day care centers, assisted living, and dementia facilities. One of the greatest benefits will be for the educational system in the north Georgia area which includes 13 counties.
Activities at the museum will focus on providing essential educational opportunities for people of all ages as well as social interactions. With the facility located halfway between Atlanta and Chattanooga and easily accessible from I-75 it draws a diverse crowd of visitors.
